FAQs
-
How do I install and set up the device for the first time?
- Place on a dry, level surface with 10 cm clearance.
- Plug in the original adapter to the DC port.
- After power‑on, the hatch will pop up and the light flashes.
- Press "Lid Open" – green light stays on = standby.
- Download the app via QR code or app store.
- Register / log in.
- Tap "+" → "Add device" → follow Wi‑Fi setup (2.4 GHz only).
⚠️ Bluetooth is only for device discovery, not remote control.
-
Why won't my device connect to Wi-Fi?
- 2.4 GHz only – Disable 5 GHz or create a 2.4 GHz network.
- Weak signal – Stay within 10m (33 ft) of router, avoid metal obstacles.
- Wrong password – Passwords are case‑sensitive.
- Network restriction – Use a home network, not corporate/campus Wi‑Fi.
- App permission – Allow local network access (iOS: Settings → Local Network).
-
What are the main features of this feeder?
This product integratesthree feeding modes (instant feeding, scheduled feeding, and self‑serve feeding), visible food management, cooling freshness preservation, and pre‑meal warming– all in one. It is designed to provide you with a scientific, healthy, and convenient pet feeding experience.
-
What types of food can be placed in the device?
✅ Use: Wet food (canned/pouched/prescription), dry kibble, rehydrated freeze‑dried food, and thawed frozen wet food.
❌ Avoid: Raw meat/bones/homemade raw food, greasy or hot food, leftovers older than 72 hours, and mixing dry food with wet food in the same tray.
Note: Do not use cooling/warming functions for dry food, freeze‑dried food, or medication – they may become damp.
-
How long can wet food be stored? What happens if it exceeds that time?
● The recommended maximum freshness period is 72 hours (3 days), with a strong recommendation to replace every 24 hours (based on test results under ambient temperatures of 12°C to 30°C).
● Even if you do not manually reset after 72 hours, the device will continue to cool, but the food may have already spoiled.
● Strong recommendation: Clean up any leftover food immediately after each feeding cycle to prevent bacterial growth and odor.
● The app allows you to set a "Feeding End Reminder" to help you promptly handle any remaining cat food.
-
How do I properly clean the feeder?
Do not wash or submerge the whole unit. Unplug the power cord, remove the food tray (washable with mild detergent), and wipe the interior with a slightly damp soft cloth — especially the cooling plate and sensor window. Dry all parts completely, especially near electronics. Clean the side grilles weekly with a small brush or vacuum to remove cat hair.
-
Why are there water droplets or standing water in the cooling area?
This is a normal physical phenomenon — condensation.
● Principle: The cooling plate lowers the internal temperature below the ambient dew point, causing water vapor in the air to liquefy upon contact with the cold surface.
● Location: Typically appears at the bottom of the food tray or around the cooling metal plate.
● How to handle: Wipe thoroughly with a dry soft cloth or paper towel after each feeding cycle.
● Note: If standing water is left uncleaned for a long time, it may lead to mold growth or affect sensor performance.
-
Can I put frozen wet food directly into the device?
Yes, but it must be thawed first. Placing a frozen block directly may cause reduced cooling efficiency, uneven food temperature, or trigger overload protection. We recommend thawing frozen wet food in the refrigerator for 8–12 hours, or at room temperature for 2–4 hours before use.
-
How does the device achieve cooling?
It uses thermoelectric cooling (TEC / Peltier) technology — no compressor, no Freon, quiet and eco-friendly. When current passes through the semiconductor module, one side absorbs heat (cold side) and the other releases heat (hot side). The cold side transfers low temperature to the food tray area via a high‑conductivity metal plate. The hot side uses an aluminum heatsink and a high‑speed fan to expel heat. A main control chip dynamically adjusts power to maintain stable low temperature based on ambient conditions.
-
How can I prevent the rotating door from trapping my cat?
The device has an infrared proximity sensor and intelligent logic. When a cat's head enters the feeding opening, the sensor detects it. Even if the preset closing time is reached, the door flips back to horizontal to avoid pinching. The app will notify you if the door is blocked, and you can follow the app's instructions to close it.
